The name ruby comes from the Latin "ruber", which means red. It is composed of a mineral called corundum, the same as sapphire. It varies in colour, but remains between pinkish, orange and red, depending on the chrome and iron content. It often has solid inclusions of mica or rutile, which add value. This precious stone has been the object of veneration throughout human history.
HOW TO CARE FOR ME

These are our 5 basic rules for keeping your Lavani bath and jewellery as good as new.
1. DO NOT APPLY COLOGNE OR CLEANING PRODUCTS
In general, avoid contact with other substances that can make your piece darken or lose its shine, due to abrasion with chemical products.
2. DO NOT WEAR THEM WHEN PLAYING SPORTS
The pH of the skin and the increased level of body sweat can cause bathing to be lost more quickly.
3. PAMPER THEM IN A BAG
And preferably individually, so that they are better preserved.
4. REJUVENATE THEM BY WIPING THEM WITH A COTTON CLOTH
You can clean them with a little warm water and neutral pH soap and a soft toothbrush, drying them later with a chamois. It is important that you do not rub intensely, as this can cause wear and tear on the gold-plated pieces.
5. DO NOT COOL THEM IN THE SEA OR IN POOLS WITH CHLORINE
Nor do you subject them to sudden changes in temperature, as natural stones can undergo changes in colour.
